"There are three things human beings are afraid of: death, other people, and their own minds." - Michael Pollan

I focus every aspect of my work, be it about relationships, death, grief, boundaries work, or coping strategies from a framework of harm reduction.

I am currently holding a Social Worker role in health care where I do case management with people who use drugs. I approach this work and all my work from my standpoint as a recreational drug user with a history of harmful use. Substance use is a coping strategy, a survival tactic: I believe that as many folks are alive because they use or have used drugs as have died because of poisoning by unregulated toxic supply. I am alive because I have used drugs: they saved my life for a time.

I am convinced of the medicinal quality of substances while holding in balance that not everything is for everyone. I will support you with accessing substance use support services when you are ready, and make referrals to services as you request them. Until then, and throughout, I will help you make plans and strategies to ways of being safer while you enrich your mind, your body, and your life. I also support with navigating conflict in relationships that is emerging due to misaligned values about substance use.
